Okay, so

In keeping with the idea of wanting to actually post more in various places, including LJ, here and my domain. I'm going to catch you guys up with some stuff that's going on.

Therapy is once a week now, hubbie's recovered from surgery and is back at work, he's been switched for days. I'm in the middle of applying for disability, we'll see how that goes.

We've been having some weirdness with Little being out. We're calling her Little now because we don't know her name, although she seems to be leaning towards Rachel. I'm feeling a bit disconnected from the kin community, like a lot of people I know who are in the kin community are now not quite sure what to make of me since I got the Multiplicity diagnosis. It's probably in my head, maybe? I guess it's just that this has coincided with everything going quiet because a lot of people are in weird places with their own lives, or really busy, these things tend to happen and then make certain aspects feel like they're pissing people off *looks to Ami*

Anyway, Max actually went to therapy on Thursday just to see how things were going, given it's mostly been me (Core/Abby whatever) that's been going, although Max has had a bit of input every once in a while. Then we shared with her this long journal entry that Little had written and she did some hypnosis with me to see if Little would come out, we'd packed her favorite cuddly toy (popple) and taken it with us, and she did talk to the therapist for a little bit, but nothing much of consequence, by which I mean no HUGE revelations of anything, but there were some things which were kind of o.O like the fact that she said her name didn't matter. She clearly considers herself of no consequence to anyone, which fits with our upbringing really. But considering the way she is some times, unless there's more than one little...which is possible, she seemed pretty grounded and sane. None of this "wall people" business, maybe there is a medication connection.

Strange Script

I found those samples of strange characters that I had written a while ago, and also figured I would see if I can find archives of a few of the other differences in hand writing.

Strange Writing )

No idea. Some of it looks a bit like it's trying to be Asian characters...but yet not. These must have been written in 2005 because I remember they were done on the erase boards that we had for note writing during gaming sessions and it was at a place that we stopped having access to for gaming sessions after 2005.

Why notes aren't always good.

This is the note on the computer this morning. Left in the open file we keep as "stuff to do" which whoever gets something adds it to so that others will remember 'cause even though there's not so much amnesia any more memory is still a sieve:

Firefly 4 ferik
rof stuff from hodepoit
shaun epiclev book
publix groc smalls tuff
bank check for pqaycheck

Yeah...some of those are decipherable and some...not quite so sure.

Avoidance much?

So, despite watching subjecting myself to episodes 39-42 of Saiyuki last night and actually therefore getting into stuff NOT previously seen it was Duo-dreams last night and not him. Meffh. I think perhaps this will take deliberate door yanking/open propping and such. Tad frustrating. Especially as Duo stuff was also not much in the way of "new things".

Except for the interesting quote of, "Surving V3? Heh, it's more like you're room mates, and it's the room mate you kinda forget that you have 'cause it comes in you guys chill for a while have a few drinks and then it disappears off into the room and you don't really see it except every once in a while running to the bathroom, and then one night you come home and the place is trashed, and there's this crazy party going on which is so big and loud that you can barely get into your own house. YOUR HOUSE."
"So, you preemptively try to leave?"
"Uh...well, actually that was just me being stupid. I guess it's more like you try to leave 'cause you think it might be coming among other things, and it goes, OH WELL if you DON'T WANT the place. I'll spread out."

These things...(or getting your head space to work for you)

In other things we have a yay-flag, and a non-sarcastic one at that, more of an about-fucking-time one really on the whole, making things work for you/me/us.

Last night munchkin was being 'a bear' is the polite way to put it (a frustrating antagonistic brat is a less nice way) even so that is not quite the way it was being put by a certain point, like ooh say 7:30 when he was clearly tired (esp as he hadn't had a nap) and was still kicking up a huge screaming fit like he was just put in boiling oil rather than his crib. Yes, okay normal bed time is 8-8:30, but you had no nap, you're falling asleep on my shoulder YTF are you pissed off about going to bed?

Then it was the whole 'yanno, really frustrated, must not throttle child maybe should STEP back a ways and let someone else take over this' may well be one of the only parents who can babysit my own child, LOL. One of those, the whole point of rearranging the headspace was to be able to deal better with the child and not being one of those parents who snaps and does something awful.

So, we did, and you know what. It worked! Imagine that?
So, a song, a chase, and a trip to the bathroom for teeth cleaning (again) later, the munchkin was in his crib and going, "cat! woof woof!" but hey...he was in bed and NOT screaming about it. He did yell as the door was being shut, and had peek-a-boo played and another two verses of the Scottish Lullaby and then sang to himself a bit and went to SLEEP. Ah, yay, SLEEP!

And it's "thank you, omg thank you Remus" and on with the ritual of the evening plans.
